Gold Coast Arts Centre is drawing back the curtain
Gold Coast Arts Centre is drawing back the curtain to reveal a
new look, new name and new direction
Gold Coast Arts Centre is preparing to unveil its new look and direction that will guide the next stage of The Ar
t Centre’s ongoing evolution.
“Over the last four months we have undergone various facility improvements, secured $300,000 of new State Government arts funding and developed a new artistic direction. It’s now time to share the detail of these exciting changes with the community” said General Manager Mr Destry Puia.
“The success that Gold Coast Arts Centre has achieved over the years has provided a great foundation for change so that The Arts Centre is able to meet the demands of the community, audiences and artists both now and into the future”.
“Bridging the gap for artists between ability and possibility, planning for now and the future as well as promoting the Gold Coast as a cultural tourism destination will be the underlying themes that will ensure that The Arts Centre becomes the premier cultural venue in Australia” said General Manager Destry Puia.
To find out the detail of this change The Arts Centre is inviting the media to an exclusive first look on Wednesday 24 March, 10.30am- 11.00am, The Arts Centre, Main Foyer (135 Bundall Road).
This will involve a short presentation regarding the new programs, recent facility changes and the unveiling of the new look for The Arts Centre. This will be followed by a Q and A session and conclude with photo opportunities. Morning tea will be provided.

PAY CONFUSION ACROSS ENTERTAINMENT INDUSTRY
![]()
Backstagejobs.com.au recommend you attend this FREE Summit at Julius Media Campus about the current modern awards pay confusions across the entertainment industry.
FREE Industry Summit on new Modern Awards.
Everyone is now under an award. Technicians, floor crew, musicians, TV crew, film crew, retail staff, warehouse workers. Absolutely everyone. And the Modern Awards arrived on January 1st, so we are already exposed.

JuliusMedia invite anyone affected to a free industry summit, where the Award and its implications will be discussed. There is NO COST to attend this summit.
The Summit will be hosted by Julius Grafton, and discuss issues of concern along with suggested solutions.
These include:
- Who is affected
- How to employee juniors
- How to employee Trainees
- CONTRACTORS: Covered or not?
- How not to face an industrial claim
- What the pay scales are
- FAIR WORK FINES!
- How to define ‘Levels’ according to skills or experience
- Whether the new 3 hour call will survive current lobbying
- YOUR input, YOUR experiences
